Principles First was founded on a deep commitment to skills development, and that focus remains at the core of our program. As our athletes grew, so did the demand for competitive team play — leading to the formation of structured team levels that support growth at every stage of a player’s journey.
We now offer a full AAU pathway: from Developmental Teams for players moving beyond recreational leagues, to Local Teams competing across Houston, to Travel Teams designed for elite-level athletes seeking top-tier exposure.
Our teams compete in the fall and spring/summer seasons, playing in the best venues and events to maximize player development and exposure.

TRYOUTS & REGISTRATION
All players interested in joining a team must attend a tryout. Players are placed based on skill level, commitment, and coach evaluation — ensuring that each team is developmentally appropriate and competitive.
